GO TO MAKEUP LOOK | Bobbi Brown Review

1/10/2014

A few months ago, on one of my monthly airport trips, I went to Duty Free to buy an Estée Lauder foundation. The first real foundation I'd ever bought was Estée Lauder Double Wear when I was sixteen, and it wasn't until I started watching Youtube videos that I branched out to MAC and started wearing MAC foundations (Match Master and Studio Fix Fluid). As autumn hit and my summer tan faded away, I felt that my MAC foundations were a little orangey for my paler winter tone so I hunted through my makeup draw to find my trusty old Double Wear. To cut a long story short, I went to buy the Double Wear Light foundation at the airport and they didn't have my shade, and the Bobbi Brown lady was soooo nice and lured me over to her. It was about 8am and I'd been up since 6am so I was easily persuaded to make a purchase. Saying this, it was probably the best purchase I've made in forever! I'm so in love with the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation! It's light, build-able and the colour Honey is a PERFECT match for my cooler winter skin.

Excuse the bad lighting in the picture above but I tried my hardest to get a good one (darn winter darkness). I am only wearing foundation and blush on my face in this photo. I have a few blemish scars on my face at the moment and this foundation covers all my imperfections perfectly. although it is very much a full coverage foundation. It is very light and the texture is quite liquidy. I've tried quite a few foundations in my time but this is the only foundation I have ever used that matches my colouring to the T. There is no difference between my neck and my face, this has never happened, ever!

So basically I'm in love with this foundation and can't wait to try some more Bobbi Brown products! What foundation are you wearing at the moment? Are you loving it?

This post is NOT sponsored! I just genuinely love the product!

  1. The finish is beautiful! Im currently using Lancôme Teint Idole foundation. It also feels very light on the skin. Next I want to try a tinted moisturiser by Bobbi Brown or Laura Mercier.

  2. I'm on Double Wear as you know, it is my Winter make up. For lazy days/weekends and hot Summer days I go for Clinique's CC cream (with SPF 30).
I have never tried Bobbi Brown, ever, but after your review, I'll keep it in mind.
